TWGHs Historical Study Tour to Zhongshan and Zhuhai
Education Division and Records and Heritage Office jointly organised “TWGHs Historical Study Tour to Zhongshan and Zhuhai” from 9 to 11 June 2017 to enhance the understanding and knowledge of teachers of TWGHs secondary schools towards the development of contemporary Chinese history and modern historical buildings in China. Dr. Joseph TING, Adjunct Professor, Department of History, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, was invited as the adviser of the tour and has also provided an interesting and diversified background information for the Delegation.
We had 36 teachers from 18 TWGHs secondary schools joined the tour and visited the former residences of the celebrities in Zhongshan, including Dr. SUN Yat-sen, Mr. TANG Shaoyi, Mr. CHEN Fang and other sites such as Xiangshan Commercial Culture Museum, and Sun YatSen Memorial Secondary School, a key high school in Guangdong Province.
