Participation in "Dim IT 6.21 Light-out" event and “Earth Hour 2009-2011”

On 21 June 2009, Kwong Wah Hospital , Tung Wah Eastern Hospital , TWGHs Wong Tai Sin Hospital , the Group's community services centres and commercial buildings joined the "Dim IT 6.21 Light-out" event, the city's largest green campaign organized by Friends of the Earth. All non-essential lightings were turned off to save energy from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on that day. In addition, Tung Wah's service centres also participated in "Earth Hour" since 2009. The lighting of billboards/exterior of buildings would be switched off from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the event day.
