牙科手術助理

(REF: A3/DSA/KWTDC/NET)

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Assist the Dental Officers in the treatment of patients;
  • sterilize and supply dental materials;
  • work in both clinical and outreaching environments; and
  • undertake other related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • 5 subjects at Grade E or above in HKCEE including English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language or equivalent;
  • preferably with:
    (i)  a Certificate of Proficiency in Dental Surgery Assistant issued by the Prince Philip Dental Hospital;
    or
    (ii) have passed the probationary examination for Dental Surgery Assistants run by the Department of Health, or the former Medical and Health Department, or equivalent; and
  • able to speak fluent Cantonese.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $14,625 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 4). Entry salary for candidates meeting requirement (i) will be at $16,590 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 6). The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review. The fringe benefits include paid leave, medical services, dental scheme and training sponsorship.
