醫療衞生服務 MEDICAL AND HEALTH SERVICES 48 2022 marks the 20th anniversary of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals – The University of Hong Kong Clinical Centre for Teaching and Research in Chinese Medicine. TWGHs celebrated this meaningful event with our frontline staff members, as a gratitude for their commitment and dedication to providing professional Chinese medicine services for the public. Meanwhile, we gave every patient a souvenir as a token of appreciation for their long-term support to the Chinese medicine services of TWGHs. To promote public health and to foster the concept of “prevention better than cure”, TWGHs Integrated Diagnostic and Medial Centre, TWGHs Medical Centre (North Point), TWGHs Well Women Clinics and Radiology Team participated in health education programmes and contributed medical articles to the Mingpao Health Column named “Medical in Tung Wah” on regularly basis. This monthly column shares practical medical knowledge with the public from multiple angles through lively and interesting stories. Apart from prevention, diagnosis and treatment of various diseases, the column also covers the latest medical knowledge to promote the concept of healthy living. TWGHs proactively participated in the “Colorectal Cancer Screening Programme” of the Government. Eligible citizens were invited to use the Primary Care Doctor Services at TWGHs Integrated Diagnostic and Medical Centre and TWGHs Medical Centre (North Point), and the colonoscopy services at the Endoscopy Centre. The participating citizens clinically found to be unsuitable for colonoscopy were referred to TWGHs Computed Tomography Imaging Centre for virtual colonoscopy. In addition, TWGHs Endoscopy Centre participated in the “Colon Assessment Public-Private Partnership Programme” and “Oesophagogastro-duodenoscopy Collaboration Programme” of the Hospital Authority, by offering colonoscopy and gastroscopy services for needy patients referred by public hospitals. Besides, TWGHs Haemodialysis Centre has participated in the “Haemodialysis Public-Private Partnership Programme” of the Hospital Authority since its establishment. So far over 28,000 haemodialysis sessions had been offered to end-stage kidney failure patients referred by public hospitals. This year, TWGHs Integrated Diagnostic and Medical Centre and TWGHs Medical Centre (North Point) continued its collaboration with the Hong Kong Football Association Limited by providing medical examinations for over 128 football players of Hong Kong Premier League. It was a meaningful project as the examinations could arouse the health consciousness of professional sportsmen. 2022 年是東華三院－香港大學中醫藥臨床教研 中心成立20 周年，本院為前線員工舉辦了慶祝 活動，以答謝他們一直以專業精神為社會提供優 質的中醫藥服務，並將會派發紀念品給支持我們 的到診者，以感謝他們對東華三院中醫藥服務的 信任。 為了推廣公眾健康及「預防勝於治療」的概念， 東華屬下的綜合診斷及醫療中心、醫療中心 ( 北角)、婦女健康普查部及放射診斷部積極參與 健康教育活動，並且為明報健康網專欄 —「醫 學滿東華」撰寫文章，以生動有趣及不同角度的 故事，每月定期向大眾講解不同的醫療知識。專 欄的內容除了各類疾病的預防、診治方法外，還 包括最新的醫療資訊，希望藉此推廣健康生活的 意識。 東華三院積極參與政府推行的「大腸癌篩查計 劃」，在屬下綜合診斷及醫療中心和醫療中心 ( 北角) 提供基層醫療醫生服務，篩選符合資格 的市民參與此計劃，並在內視鏡中心提供大腸鏡 檢查服務；而計劃內因臨床原因不適合接受大腸 鏡檢查的市民，則會獲安排到東華三院電腦掃描 中心接受虛擬大腸鏡電腦掃描服務。 此外，東華三院內視鏡中心亦參與醫院管理局推 行的「腸道檢查公私營協作計劃」及「胃鏡檢查 計劃」，為有需要的公立醫院病人提供大腸鏡及 胃鏡檢查。 東華三院血液透析中心自成立以來，一直參與醫 院管理局「共析計劃」，為由醫管局轉介的末期 腎衰竭病人提供血液透析服務，自成立以來，已 為病人提供超過28,000 節服務。 今年，東華三院綜合診斷及醫療中心及東華三院 醫療中心( 北角) 繼續與香港足球總會攜手合作， 為128 名香港超級聯賽足球員進行身體檢查。 此項計劃意義重大，可提升職業運動員對健康的 關注。 東華三院－香港大學中醫藥 臨床教研中心成立20周年 東華三院屬下的普查及診斷中心舉辦 健康教育活動 積極參與政府及醫院管理局推行的 公私營協作計劃 為運動員提供身體檢查服務 20th Anniversary of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals – The University of Hong Kong Clinical Centre for Teaching and Research in Chinese Medicine Health Education Programmes organised by Screening and Diagnostic Centres of TWGHs Participation in Public-Private Interface Programmes of Government and the Hospital Authority Provision of Medical Assessment to Sportsmen 立於歷史根基 延續救病拯危使命 Continuing the Mission of Healing the Sick and Relieving the Distressed upon the Foundation of History
