Hong Kong Givers Day 2018
“Hong Kong Givers Day 2018”, organised by TWGHs, Wofoo Social Enterprises and
the Outstanding Givers, was held on 28 January 2018 with Mr. CHAN Jick Chi, Jack,
JP, Under Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr. LAM Ka Tai, JP, Deputy Director of Social
Welfare (Services), Dr. LAM Ching Choi, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Elderly Commission,
Prof. CHAN Cheung Ming, Alfred, SBS, JP, Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities
Commission, Dr. Joseph LEE, GBS, OStJ, JP, President of Wofoo Social Enterprises,
Mr. TAM Chun Kwok, Kazaf, Vice-Chairman cum Chairman of Community Services
Committee, and Ms. Gloria LEUNG, Founder and President of the Outstanding Givers,
officiating. Mr. Barry IP, Ms. Wendy ZHENG and Ms. Silian WONG, Ambassadors of the
Event were also present to show their support.
The theme for this year was “ONE minute 118 LIKE behaviors”. More than 100
volunteers joined 18 fortunas to distribute 1,800 fortune bags to send love and care
to the community.

東華三院義工隊
東華三院為進一步深化員工服務社群的精
神及鼓勵他們帶同家屬積極參與義工服
務，人力資源委員會於2014年通過設立
「員工義工服務獎勵計劃」，並設有4
個獎項，分別為「最新『義』人獎」、
「最高『義』數獎」、「最『義』家庭參
與獎」及「最『義』推薦人獎」，以嘉許
優秀的義工。今年，東華三院義工隊除了
進行本地義工服務外，亦特別造訪東莞市
寮步鎮，並提供義工服務，服務內容包括
為基層兒童舉辦主題學習活動，及前往基
層家庭及獨居長者家中探訪。
東華三院文物館義工團隊
檔案及歷史文化辦公室建立及領導的東華
三院文物館義工隊日益壯大，2016年度
的義務工作時數達1,574小時，並連續第
7年獲社會福利署頒發「義務工作嘉許
金狀」。義工隊主要協助文物館把館藏照
片、剪報和歷史檔案數碼化，為歷史檔案
進行簡單的修復，及為東華義莊文獻進行
登記。
TWGHs Volunteer Team
To enhance staff members’ spirit of care for the society and encourage them and their
family members to actively participate in voluntary services, the Human Resources
Committee of TWGHs approved setting up the “Staff Voluntary Service Incentive
Scheme” in 2014 with 4 award categories including “First-time Volunteer”, “Staff
with the Highest Service Hours”, “Family with the Highest Service Hours” and “Most
Effective Referrer” to accord recognition to outstanding volunteers. This year, in
addition to local community services, TWGHs Volunteer Team visited Liaobu Town of
Dongguan City and provided volunteer services, including a thematic study programme
for rural youths and home visits to the deprived families and singleton elders.
Tung Wah Museum Voluntary Work Force
The Volunary Work Force, established and led by the Tung Wah Museum, is an ever-
expanding team of volunteers. The Work Force rendered a total of 1,574 hours of
voluntary service in 2016, and won the “Gold Award for Volunteer Service 2016”
from the Social Welfare Department in its 7th consecutive year. The Work Force mainly
assisted in digitisation of photos, news clippings and historical records for the Museum,
while also carried out simple restoration works for historic documents and performed
data entry for Tung Wah Coffin Home.

由東華三院、和富社會企業及傑出生命計
劃合辦的「香港義行日2018」於1月28日
假於牛頭角上村天幕廣場舉行，邀得民政
事務局副局長陳積志太平紳士、社會福利
署副署長林嘉泰太平紳士、安老事務委員
會主席林正財醫生BBS太平紳士，平等機
會委員會主席陳章明教授SBS太平紳士、
和富社會企業會長李宗德博士GBS, OStJ太
平紳士、社會服務委員會主任委員譚鎮國
副主席及傑出生命計劃創會會長梁美儀小
姐主禮，「義行大使」葉文輝先生、鄭嘉
嘉小姐及王靖喬小姐亦出席支持活動。
今年活動主題是「全城行義1分鐘118 LIKE
行為」，獲逾百名義工響
應，18位財神與義工落區
派發1,800個福袋，送上
關愛。
