愛老「耆」遇記 — 長者病友支援計劃 2017
東華三院馮堯敬醫院長者健康資源中心與香港
大學及中文大學醫科學生組成的義工團「醫
心」於本年再度合辦「愛老『耆』遇記 — 長
者病友支援計劃 2017」，藉著一連串活動，
為長者病友及照顧者輸入正能量，促進及改善
他們的身、心、靈健康。
健康e道工作坊2017之同行健康路
東華三院馮堯敬醫院長者健康資源中心與醫護
人員、病人互助小組及義工們於2017年4月1
日舉辦「健康e道工作坊之同行健康路」，以
加強長者、長期病患者及照顧者的自我照顧能
力，並鼓勵他們積極面對疾病，共有60多位
參加者出席。
暑期義工大學堂2017
東華醫院和東華三院馮堯敬醫院每年均於暑假
期間舉辦「暑期義工大學堂」，向中學生推廣
全人發展及整全健康的概念。參加者在參與義
工服務前須參加訓練工作坊，義工服務包括探
訪病友及鄰近護理安老院、為病友舉辦活動、
進行住院及門診病人意見問卷調查等。本年度
的暑期義工大學堂已順利舉行，並於2017年
8月19日舉行畢業禮。參加者表示計劃加深了
他們對義工服務、醫院服務及運作的認識，並
提升他們對健康的關注。
Community Partnership and Patient Support Project 2017
The Elderly Health Resource Centre of TWGHs Fung Yiu King Hospital co-organised
the “Community Partnership and Patient Support Project” again this year with the
“Medical Outreachers Hong Kong” formed by volunteers among the medical students
of The University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Through
a series of activities, the Project empowered the geriatric patients and their caregivers
with positive energy to improve their physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
Health Promotion and Patient & Carer Empowerment Initiative
The Elderly Health Resource Centre of TWGHs Fung Yiu King Hospital organised the
“Health Promotion and Patient & Carer Empowerment Initiative” in conjunction with
medical and nursing professionals, patient support groups and volunteers on 1 April
2017. Attended by over 60 participants, the Programme was designed to equip the
elderly as well as chronic patients and their carergivers with the knowledge and skills of
self-management and encourage them to face diseases in a positive way.
Healthy Summer School 2017
As co-organisers, Tung Wah Hospital and TWGHs Fung Yiu King Hospital held the
“Healthy Summer School Programme” every summer to promote the concept of
whole person development and holistic health to secondary students. Participants
had to attend a series of training workshops before they could take part in volunteer
services. The Programme included visits to wards and attention homes, organising
recreational activities for patients, and conducting patient satisfaction survey for the
Hospital. The Programme was successfully concluded with a graduation ceremony
held on 19 August 2017. The student volunteers commented that the Programme
had not only enhanced their knowledge of volunteer services, hospital services and
operations, but also raised their health awareness.
