The Highest Service Hour Award 2016
TWGHs was the 2nd Runner-up of the “Highest Service Hour Award 2016 (Public
Organisations)” organised by the Social Welfare Department. TWGHs has a total
of 58,063 registered volunteers who served the community for over 1.9 million
hours. The “Hong Kong Volunteer Award Presentation Ceremony” was held on 9
December 2017 with the Hon. CHEUNG Kin Chung, Matthew, GBM, GBS, JP, Chief
Secretary for Administration cum Volunteer-in-Chief, Mr. CHAN Jick Chi, Jack, JP,
Under Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr. TSUI Ying Wai, Caspar, JP, Under Secretary
for Labour and Welfare, and Ms. Carol YIP, JP, Director of Social Welfare, officiating.
TWGHs Corporate Volunteering Day
To further promote the importance of corporate social responsibilities, TWGHs
organised the “TWGHs Corporate Volunteering Day” on 13 January 2018.
Mr. Caspar TSUI, JP, Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, and Dr. LEE Yuk Lun,
JP, the Chairman, were the officiating guests. Long-term corporate partners of
TWGHs were invited to participate in this meaningful event as an encouraging
message for corporates to constantly serve the community through volunteering.
Participating corporates / organisations include Architectural Services Department,
Citi, CLP Power Hong Kong Limited, Gammon Construction Limited, Henderson
Land Group (Property Management Department), Lee Kum Kee (Hong Kong) Foods
Limited, Shinhan Bank, Sino Group, Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited
and Wong’s Kong King Holdings Limited.

2016年度最高服務時數獎
東華三院獲社會福利署頒發「2016年最高服務
時數獎」（公眾團體）季軍，登記義工人數達
58,063人，義工服務總時數超過190萬小時。
「香港義工嘉許典禮」於2017年12月9日舉行，
邀得政務司司長暨義工總領袖張建宗大紫荊勳
賢GBS太平紳士、民政事務局副局長陳積志太
平紳士、勞工及福利局副局長徐英偉太平紳士
及社會福利署署長葉文娟太平紳士主禮。
東華三院企業義工服務日
為進一步推動企業公民責任，本院於2018年
1月13日舉行「東華三院企業義工服務日」，
邀得勞工及福利局副局長徐英偉太平紳士及
東華三院主席李鋈麟博士太平紳士親臨主禮，
同時邀請了與東華三院長期合作的企業義工伙
伴組織一同參與義工服務，藉此鼓勵更多企業
透過義工服務持續貢獻社區。參與義工服務日
的企業／團體包括：建築署、花旗集團、中華
電力有限公司、金門建築有限公司、恒基兆業
地產集團（物業管理部）、李錦記（香港）食
