優化設施及服務質素
Enhancement of Facilities and Service Quality
為配合現代醫療及服務發展趨勢，廣華醫院正進
行重建計劃。第1期的拆卸及下層結構工程已於
2016年4月獲得立法會財務委員會通過撥款6億
5,480萬元進行，並於同年6月展開。院內4座大樓
包括醫院主樓南翼的拆卸工程經已完成，現正進
行下層結構工程，預計可於2018年第4季完工，
並緊接開展上層結構建設工程。整項重建計劃預
期在2025年竣工。
廣華醫院在重建後將繼續擔當急症全科醫院的角
色，新增的服務及設施如下：
• 計劃增加350張病床及10間手術室；
• 於急症室增設流感徵狀隔離區域及24小時電
腦斷層掃描服務，以及新增急症科病房，擴大
觀察病房；
• 將專科門診診症室由現在的44間增至約100
間；
• 重建後的綜合日間醫療服務中心將提供一站式
日間醫療服務，方便病人接受治療和長期護
理；
• 新增內科腫瘤科服務，並提供前線治理、診
症服務及化療計劃；及
• 增設中西醫結合病房，以拓展及提供更完善的
中西醫藥醫院服務。
Kwong Wah Hospital is being redeveloped to meet the trend of modern
healthcare and service development. The Finance Committee of the
Legislative Council approved $654.8 million in funding for the Main
Works Package 1 (MWP1) that included the demolition and substructure
works for the Phase 1 Redevelopment in April 2016 and the works were
kick-started in June of the same year. With demolition of 4 existing
buildings including the south wing of the main block completed, the
foundation and substructure works are now underway and planned to
be completed by the fourth quarter of 2018 followed by the construction
of the above-ground structure. The whole redevelopment project is
scheduled to be completed by 2025.
After the redevelopment, Kwong Wah Hospital will maintain its role
as an acute care facility, and provides the following additional and
enhanced patient services:
• additional 350 beds and 10 operation theatres as planned;
• adequate isolation facilities and 24-hour CT Scan Services, and the
expansion of the Emergency and Observation ward;
• around 100 consultation rooms for specialist outpatients in outpatient
service instead of the current 44 consultation rooms;
• one-stop multi-disciplinary services in Day Care Medical Services,
enabling patients with non-acute conditions to receive long-term
medical treatments at an Ambulatory Care Centre;
• new Medical Oncology Services with front-line management,
consultation services and chemotherapy programmes; and
• a new Chinese and Western Medicine Integration Ward to develop
and enhance the Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital Services.

To cope with the construction works of the Redevelopment of Kwong Wah Hospital,
the “Commemorative Tree” which was planted 100 days after the outbreak of
SARS epidemic in 2003 was successfully relocated from Kwong Wah Hospital
to TWGHs Wong Tai Sin Hospital on 11 January 2017. To smoothly relocate the
Tree, seamlessly arrangement had been made with thorough consideration on site
selection, assessment on ground conditions, logistical support and maintenance of
the Tree after relocation. The Tree will be relocated back to Kwong Wah Hospital
upon completion of the Redevelopment Project.
為配合廣華醫院重建計劃工程的進行，本院於
2017年1月11日順利將於2003年沙士疫潮爆
發100天後栽種的「廣華同心樹」從廣華醫院
移植到東華三院黃大仙醫院。要順利移植樹木
絕非易事，本院在選址、土地狀況評估、流程
安排以至遷移後對同心樹的栽培等方面作詳盡
考慮後，悉心安排移植。在廣華醫院重建完成
後，本院將安排同心樹重返該院繼續栽種。
