Training Workshops on Herbal Soap and Moisturising Cream
TWGHs organised training workshops on Cold Process Chinese Medicine Soap-
making and Cream Base Making by Anionic Emulsifying Waxes (Hot Process) and
Emulsifying Polymer (Cold Process) on 21 April and 7 August 2017 respectively.
About 30 Chinese medicine pharmacists, Chinese medicine dispensers and Chinese
medicine practitioners attended.
Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Pilot Programme in
Stroke Care
Tung Wah Hospital collaborated with TWGHs to participate in the “Integrated
Chinese-Western Medicine Pilot Programme” of the Hospital Authority (HA) with
the aim to explore the development and provision of Chinese-Western medicine
treatment for the Hospital Authority patients. Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the programme
were launched in September 2014 and December 2015 respectively, and Phase 2
programme ended on 31 March 2018. Approximately 2,500 patients participated
in the programme in 2017/2018, and most of the participants recorded significant
improvement.
Sponsoring and Participating in Community Dental Services
On 21 and 22 October 2017, TWGHs in cooperation with the Happy Tree Social
Services and the Hong Kong Christian Dental Fellowship, held the “Happy Dental
Programme” at TWGHs Jockey Club Rehabilitation Complex, offering free dental
services to the hostel residents with intellectual disabilities. The Hon. CHEUNG
Kin Chung, Matthew, GBM, GBS, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration, visited
on 22 October 2017 and expressed his appreciation to the volunteers for their
enthusiastic service.
漢方皂及潤膚霜工作坊
東華三院分別於2017年4月21日及8月7日舉辦
「漢方草本冷製皂工作坊」及「油包水潤膚
霜」工作坊，讓接近30位中藥師、中藥配藥
員及中醫師學習製作含中藥成分的藥用皂及潤
膚霜。
中西醫協作先導計劃 – 中風治療
東華醫院與東華三院攜手參與醫院管理局的
「中西醫協作先導計劃」，旨在探討中西醫協作
的模式。第1及第2階段計劃已先後於2014年9
月和2015年12月順利推行，而第2階段計劃亦
於2018年3月31日完結。2017/2018年度約有
2,500人次參加此計劃，大部分參與此計劃的
病人的病情均有顯著改善。
資助並參與社區牙科義務活動
東華三院繼續與開心樹社會服務及香港基督徒
牙醫團契合作，安排牙科醫護員工支持於2017
年10月21日及22日在東華三院賽馬會復康中
心為有特殊需要人士舉辦的「開心由齒起」。
政務司司長張建宗大紫荊勳賢GBS太平紳士亦
於2017年10月22日到場探訪，並對義工及服務
表示讚賞。

Providing Students from Local Medicine Institutes with Internship
Opportunities
Students of Chinese medicine, Western medicine and pharmacy at local universities,
community colleges and vocational training institutes participated in clinical
attachments at the TWGHs Chinese medicine centres.
Seminar on Gao Fang
TWGHs organised a seminar on “Gao Fang” on 19 and 20 October 2017 for
TWGHs Chinese medicine practitioners and Chinese medicine pharmacists. Prof.
YANG Zhimin, the Deputy Director of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional
Chinese Medicine, was the speaker of the seminar. About 90 participants attended
the 2-day seminar.
為本地醫學院學生提供臨床實習機會
東華三院安排在本地大學、社區書院及專業教
育學院修習中醫、西醫及配藥學的學生到屬下
的中醫中心進行臨床學習。
「開展膏方診療的經驗探討」講座
東華三院於2017年10月19日及20日為本院中
醫師及中藥師舉辦「開展膏方診療的經驗探
討」講座，由廣東省中醫院副院長楊志敏教授
主講。兩天講座有接近90人參加。
