Senior Board & Committees Manager

(REF: HHRD/SBCM/BCAD/NET)

Location: Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Provide full support to the Head of Board and Corporate Administration Division (HBCAD) in the formation, inauguration and orientation of the Board for complying with the Tung Wah Ordinance;
  • provide full support to the HBCAD in monitoring the governance structure of the Board to guard against non-compliance with the Tung Wah Ordinance and rules laid down by the Board;
  • provide secretarial support to the Board and senior management team to facilitate smooth running of the Administration Headquarters;
  • provide executive support to the Chairman of the Education Committee on all matters related to the Board of Governors and the College Council of the Tung Wah College;
  • establish good relationship with current Board Members to help them assume their roles in the Board and with past Board Members to enhance their sense of belonging;
  • maintain effective communication channels with the Board and the top management team for relations and consensus building to achieve corporate objectives;
  • monitor the trademark registration of Tung Wah in Hong Kong and on the Mainland and watch out for any infringement to ensure the Group’s interest and image is protected; and
  • supervise subordinate staff to achieve the annual work plan and to assure high quality output of all secretarial work.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • A recognized degree in any discipline or equivalent;
  • at least 8 to 10 years’ experience in corporate administrative work with corporate secretarial training;
  • excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • pleasant personality, being receptive and diplomatic while committed to adhering to principles.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience.  The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.  Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.  The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
