0.5 Registered Nurse (Health Research)

Location: Sheung Wan
Roles & responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager to support a randomized controlled study lead by academic institution, including:
(i) assist in the recruitment of subjects in various healthcare or elderly settings, including clinics, elderly centres, etc.;
(ii) provide clinical support for phlebotomy and result interpretation;
(iii) provide clinical support for Low-dose Computed Tomography (LDCT) scan arrangements;
(iv) conduct promotional activities and health education;
(v) participate in study meetings and training sessions if necessary; and
(vi) follow up with subjects as well as conducting assessments and interventions; - required to work in centre-based and outreach services; and
- perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager.
The ideal candidate should have/be:
- a Certificate of Registration (Part I) issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong or equivalent;
- a valid Practicing Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong;
- at least 5 years of post-registration experience as a registered nurse; and
- preferably working experience in smoking cessation program.

Compensation & employment terms:
The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $17,540 per month (0.5 post of Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 15). Entry salary depends on years of recognized experience. The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review. The fringe benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.
