Assistant Human Resources Manager (Appointments Unit I)

Location : Sheung Wan
Roles & responsibilities:
- Provide executive support on HR matters including staff recruitment, manpower review, salary assessment, staff discipline and complaint issues and cessation of services for community and traditional services in Tung Wah;
- review the pay and recruitment policies and carry out the enhancement measures to strengthen the competitiveness for acquisition and retention of talents;
- conduct and coordinate review of personnel administration system and procedures to streamline the administration in response to the changing service needs;
- co-ordinate cross-units regular/annual exercises and compile the recommendations for the management’s endorsement;
- supervise and provide guidance to subordinates in daily operation; and
- undertake administration tasks and other ad hoc projects/duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate should have/be:
- A recognized degree or equivalent, preferably human resources management;
- at least Grade D in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE or equivalent;
- at least 2 years of post-qualification relevant working experience;
- well conversant with the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and related Ordinances;
- preferably with supervisory experience and hands on experience on HR data analytics and development of HR systems;
- proficiency in Chinese and English; and
- good communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & employment terms:
The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience. The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
