Roles & responsibilities:

  • Perform reception duties, assist at the counter and handle enquiries from the public on waiver / Samaritan Fund / Community Care Fund / other funding application procedures;
  • assist to implement charity fund, including introducing the fund to patients, explaining the guidelines and arrangements, answering patients’ enquiries, document collection, communicating with patients during the application process, and providing assistance to successful applicants in relation to the approved subsidy and treatment;
  • provide support in collaboration with stakeholders and hospital departments to ensure smooth implementation of charity fund;
  • assist in collecting and verifying financial documents provided by the applicants for funding applications;
  • perform administrative and clerical support for the department’s daily operation, including filing, retrieving documents, data entry and record keeping and prepare simple statistics;
  • assist in compiling, analyzing and interpreting data and statistics, prepare for data report including statistical tables, graphs and charts;
  • required to work at hospitals; and
  • perform any other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • 5 passes in HKCEE including Chinese Language, English Language (Syllabus B) & Mathematics or equivalent;
  • good spoken English and Chinese;
  • good computer knowledge, proficient in both Chinese & English word-processing skills; and
  • matriculation or above is preferred.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $18,675 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 4). The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review. The fringe benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.
