Human Resources Manager (Training)

Location : Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

  • plan and implement the strategic training plans, review human resources policies and procedures governing training and manpower development, as well as other human resources programmes and initiatives;
  • facilitate the setup, development and implementation of a training base for the organization, as well as develop training materials and deliver staff training programmes;
  • design the training structure by job categories and services in alignment with the corporate strategies to cultivate a learning culture for continuous improvement and talent development;
  • perform and oversee the administration work in relation to staff training including vetting various kind of training applications, recommending of training sponsorships and maintaining the smooth operation of the staff training information system;
  • explore and coordinate in launching new technologies/digital platforms for facilitating self-learning and enhancing the flexibility of training applications; and
  • supervise subordinates to maintain a stable and productive workforce capable of handling day-to-day business and provide executive support to other functions and tasks/projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • A recognized degree or equivalent, preferably in human resources and training;
  • at least Grade D in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE or equivalent;
  • at least 4 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in training and development;
  • proficiency in written English and Chinese and spoken Putonghua;
  • a good team player with sound interpersonal skills; and
  • able to work independently with initiative and have a strong sense of responsibility.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience.  The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.  Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.  The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
