Social Responsibility

TWGHs shares the value of nurturing talent for sustainable development of the community and regards providing job opportunities for tertiary students through student placements and internship programmes as an important part in fulfilling its corporate social responsibility. The Group has made continuous efforts to allot such places to students and to provide mentorship guidance and workplace training. For the year 2016/2017, a total of 2,627 students were offered practicum places in TWGHs Administration Headquarters, the Records and Heritage Office, Chinese medicine services centres and hospitals, secondary schools, primary schools, kindergartens, special schools, educational psychology service centre, elderly services unit, day care centres for the elderly, neighbourhood elderly centres, homes for the elderly, care & attention homes, community rehabilitation centre, self-financed day care centre for the elderly, residential care home for the elderly, nursery schools, integrated family service centre, multi-purpose crisis intervention and support centre, sheltered workshop cum hostel for moderately mentally handicapped persons, day activity centres cum hostels, care and attention home for the aged blind, care and attention home for the severely disabled persons, integrated vocational rehabilitation centre sum hostel and long stay care home.
