Human Resources Executive (Welfare)

Location : Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, designing and implementing staff welfare activities/events, such as Christmas party, annual dinner, sports tournament, awards ceremonies as well as social and recreational activities;
  • assist in overseeing the progress of staff welfare activities and coordinating the job allocation for the team;
  • process applications for granting/reimbursements for staff welfare schemes;
  • assist in formulating annual exercise (i.e. annual report/plan/budget) and drafting regular returns in related to staff welfare/staff relations;
  • provide administrative support in coordinating the Staff Consultative Committee and Staff Welfare Committee;
  • assist in maintaining the day-to-day operation of the Staff Welfare Unit and handle complicated enquiries escalated by subordinate staff relating to staff welfare policies/benefits/activities; and
  • provide general administrative support to the superiors in reviewing the staff welfare policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • a recognized degree or equivalent;
  • at least Grade D in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE or equivalent;
  • preferably with relevant experience in event management/staff relations;
  • proficiency in written English and Chinese, and preferably spoken Putonghua;
  • good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • preferably with knowledge in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator; and
  • able to prioritize work, perform multiple tasks, work independently with initiative and have a strong sense of responsibility.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience.  The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.  Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.  The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
