Opening of New Campus of TWGHs Ma Kam Chan
Memorial Primary School
東華三院馬錦燦紀念小學新校舍於2017年9月
啓用，並於2018年2月1日舉行「東華三院馬
錦燦紀念小學新校舍開幕典禮」，邀得教育局
局長楊潤雄太平紳士蒞臨主禮。
新校舍面積由舊校舍的2,000平方米增至7,200
平方米，課室數目亦由28間增至36間。新
設施包括天台操場、60米長的跑道、有蓋操
場、兩個標準籃球場、加設多個多用途活動室
等。為配合環保及可持續發展，新校舍的設計
利用了空氣對流加強通風效果，並設有節能及
再生能源設施，例如雨水收集區，以天然雨水
灌溉校內植物。
另外，為培養學生成為「自主學習者」，新校
以「理想校園」（IDEAL）為設計理念。
TWGHs Ma Kam Chan Memorial Primary School has been in operation since
September 2017, and the Opening Ceremony was held on 1 February 2018 with
the Hon. YEUNG Yun Hung, Kevin, JP, Secretary for Education, officiating.
The area of the new campus increased from 2,000m
2
to 7,200m
2
while the
number of classrooms increased from 28 to 36. The facilities newly introduced
include a rooftop playground, 60-metre runways, a covered playground, 2
standard basketball courts and a number of multi-purpose activity rooms. For
the purposes of environmental protection and sustainable development, the
new school building was designed in a way which enhances the ventilation
by convection with energy-saving and renewable energy facilities such as
rainwater harvesting areas where plants within the campus are irrigated
with natural rainwater.
IDEAL design theme has been adopted in the new school, with an aim to
nurture students to be “self-learners”.
