New Kindergarten in Yan Tin Estate
TWGHs was allocated with the new kindergarten premises located in Yan Tin Estate,
Tuen Mun by the Education Bureau. Expected to start operation in early 2019,
the Kindergarten aims to provide comprehensive and high-quality kindergarten
education in the district.
A New Primary School in Queen’s Hill
TWGHs was allocated with a new primary school premises in Queen’s Hill, Fanling,
by the Education Bureau in September 2017. It is expected that the construction of
the new campus will be completed in mid-2021, equipped with 30 classrooms and
standard facilities to provide high quality primary education in the district.
A New Primary School in Shui Chuen O Estate
By virtue of our rich experience and proven track record in school operation, we
were successful in bidding at the end of 2017 for operating a new primary school
in Shui Chuen O Estate. The School will start to operate on the temporary campus
in Mei Lam Estate in September 2018 and it is expected to move to Shui Chuen O
Estate in 2022 upon completion of the new campus construction. On top of the
regular curriculum, the School will offer multi-intelligence courses and activities,
with the goal of nurturing “Tomorrow's Leaders”.
Opening of Kwan Fong Baking Workshop of TWGHs Kwan Fong
Kai Chi School
With the funding from the Board of Directors to enhance the pre-employment
training facilities for students, “Kwan Fong Baking Workshop” has newly been
established in TWGHs Kwan Fong Kai Chi School, with aims to increase students’
practical learning opportunity, enhance their relevant skills and cultivate positive
working attitude. The Opening Ceremony of the Facility was held on 29 January
2018 with Dr. LEE Yuk Lun, JP, the Chairman and Board Members officiating.
“Learning Environment Enhancement Project” of TWGHs Lui
Yun Choy Memorial College
TWGHs Lui Yun Choy Memorial College launched the “Learning Environment
Enhancement Project” to enhance the learning environment through improving the
College’s e-learning facilities andmodifying some classrooms into a STEM classroom,
an interaction classroom and a self-study room. The STEM classroom offers facilities
specially designed for a wide range of teaching and learning activities to develop
students’ multiple skills. The interaction classroom is equipped with round tables
for groups to improve collaborative team learning, increase interaction between
teachers and students, and enhance teaching efficiency and learning outcomes.
The self-study room provides a quiet and comfortable environment for self-studies
and group discussion of students.
Integration of TWGHs Academy of Music and Kidenza to Provide
Diversified Services
TWGHs Academy of Music (TWAM) and Kidenza were relocated to the new TWGHs
Music & Arts Development Centre (TMADC) in Wan Chai in July 2017 for services
integration. Open Days were held at TMADC on 2 and 9 July 2017 to promote
the diversified services of TWAM and Kidenza, including on-site music classes and
school-based courses. In the academic year 2017/2018, TWAM provided music
classes to 4 TWGHs schools, and will provide service for another 4 TWGHs schools
屯門欣田邨幼稚園
本院得到教育局分配位於屯門欣田邨的幼稚園
新校舍興辦新幼稚園，預計2019年初可以開
課，為該區提供全面、優質的幼兒教育服務。
皇后山新小學校舍
本院於2017年9月獲教育局分配位於北區粉
嶺皇后山的擬建新校舍，以營辦全新的資助
小學，預計於2021年中旬落成。新校舍將設
有30個課室及標準設備，為該區提供優質的
小學教育服務。
水泉澳邨新小學校舍
本院憑藉豐富且卓越的辦學經驗，於2017
年底成功申請教育局於水泉澳邨的新小學校
舍。學校將提前於2018年9月在美林邨臨時
校舍開學，並計劃於2022年新校舍落成後遷
往水泉澳邨。新小學將以建立一所「明日領
袖學校」為目標。除常規課程外，該校會備
有各類多元智能課程與活動，銳意培養社會
的明日領袖。
東華三院群芳啟智學校烘焙工場開幕
東華三院群芳啟智學校獲董事局撥款優化學
生職前訓練設施，因此得以加建「群芳烘焙
工場」，以增加學生實境學習的機會，提升
學生相關的技能及培養良好的工作態度。開
幕禮於2018年1月29日舉行，由主席李鋈麟
博士太平紳士聯同董事局成員主禮。
東華三院呂潤財紀念中學「優化校園
學習計劃」
東華三院呂潤財紀念中學開展「優化校園學
習計劃」，旨在優化電子學習的設備，並改
建部分教室成為STEM教室、互動教室及自
修室，以提升學習環境。STEM教室的設備
可配合推行多元化教學活動，以發展學生多
方面的才能。互動教室配備圓桌，有助促進
團隊形式的學習方式，增加教師與學生之間
的互動，提升教學效率與學習效益。自修室
則為學生提供一個安靜舒適的環境進行自習
和小組討論。
整合東華三院音樂學院及Ki denza
以提供多元化服務
為整合服務，東華三院音樂學院及Kidenza已
於2017年7月遷往位於灣仔，全新的東華三院
音樂及藝術發展中心，並於2017年7月2日及
9日舉行開放日，推廣外展音樂課程及校本課
程等多元化服務。於2017/2018學年，東華三
主席兼名譽校監李鋈麟博士太平紳士（後排右十一）及
校監譚鎮國副主席（後排右十）聯同本院董事局成員進
行開幕儀式。
