TWGHs Secondary Schools Held the 20th Anniversary of the
Establishment of the HKSAR Celebration Events
Three TWGHs secondary schools organised events to celebrate the 20th anniversary
of the establishment of the HKSAR, including hosting the talk “Life Support for
China Manned Space” by Prof. LIU Hong from Beihang University to share the
operation of China’s simulated spacecraft with 700 TWGHs secondary students on
30 June 2017 at TWGHs Wong Fut Nam College.
TWGHs co-organised the inaugural “Hong Kong VR Story with VR Short Film
Competition” with the Hong Kong CPPCC Youth Association to provide VR video
production courses and offer related shooting equipments and software to 160
TWGHs students. With outstanding creativity and excellent story-telling skills,
TWGHs students won all the gold, silver and bronze awards in the secondary school
category and also the most popular award.
Co-organising the “Student Video Competition” with Shanghai Minhang District,
TWGHs students produced a total of 20 video entries to display positive changes in
the culture and lifestyle of Hong Kong so as to enhance cultural exchange between
the regions.
Global Inclusive Leadership Next-Gen Programme
The 4 TWGHs winning teams of “Global Inclusive Leadership Next-Gen
Programme” travelled to Zhenjiang to join the showcase and exchanged with other
winning teams from Zhenjiang from 14 to 17 July 2017. The Programme aimed
at empowering our young generation to become global leaders through teacher
oriented Training-the-Trainers Leadership Roundtables, and the trained teachers
will inspire the students to take up 4 dynamic challenges, so as to nurture global
leaders.
Challenge of 1,000m Water Safety Swim by TWGHs Kwan Fong
Kai Chi School Students
TWGHs Kwan Fong Kai Chi School (KFKCSp) always encourages students to
participate in sports training and activities, helping them to explore their interest
and potential. Six of its students participated in the “Celebration of the 20th
Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR - 2017 Hong Kong Water Safety
Day” held on 1 May 2017. They successfully completed the challenge of 1,000m
Water Safety Swim in about an hour, accompanied by Ms. NG Tsui Wah, Champion
of Rescue 2016, and other swimming coaches. KFKCSp was the only special school
in Hong Kong to participate in the Challenge.

東華三院屬下中學舉辦香港特別行政區
成立20周年慶祝活動
東華三院屬下3間中學舉辦香港特別行政區成
立20周年慶祝活動，包括於2017年6月30日
於東華三院黃笏南中學舉辦「中國載人航天保
障」講座，邀得北京航空航天大學教授廖康博
士為700名學生分享模擬太空船的運作。
東華三院與香港政協青年聯會首次合辨「用VR
說故事」比賽，為東華三院屬下160名中學生
提供VR短片製作課程及提供相關器材。本院學
生憑著出色的創意及說故事技巧，在比賽中囊
括中學組的冠、亞、季軍以及「最受公眾歡迎
大獎」4項大獎。
與上海閔行區合辦「學生短片製作比賽」，
東華三院學生製作了20套短片展示香港在文
化和生活品味上的正面發展，以促進兩地的文
化交流。
國際容領新生代人才培養計劃
東華三院參與「國際容領新生代人才培養計
劃」，並於2017年7月14日至17日帶領4隊優
勝的屬校學生隊伍前往鎮江出席該計劃的展
示會，與其他來自鎮江的優勝者交流。該計劃
旨在透過培養培訓者領導能力圓桌會議培訓老
師，並透過老師啟發學生進行4種刺激思考的
挑戰，培育年輕一代成為世界級領袖。
東華三院群芳啟智學校學生成功挑戰
1,000米長途暢泳賽
東華三院群芳啟智學校一直致力推動體育培訓
及活動，協助學生發掘其興趣與潛能，更特別
派出6位學生代表參加於2017年5月1日舉行的
「香港特別行政區成立二十周年慶典─2017香
港水上安全日」活動，在世界錦標賽拯溺冠軍
吳翠華小姐及一眾教練的陪同下，以接近一小
時完成了1,000米長途暢泳賽，而該校更是全
港唯一一所特殊學校派出學生參與是次比賽。
