扶智荒週中學生教育扶貧暑期社會實踐
活動
東華三院安排屬校27名中學生及3位老師於
2017年7月12日至20日遠赴河北省宣化縣，
參加由清華大學主辦、曾憲備慈善基金代表組
織的「扶智荒週中學生教育扶貧暑期社會實踐
活動」，一面參與扶貧活動，一面認識國情。
東華三院6天遼寧交流團
東華三院於2017年7月30日至8月4日舉辦6天
遼寧交流團，由東華三院丙申年主席何超蕸女
士及學務委員會主任委員文頴怡副主席帶領
30名屬校中學生參觀姊妹學校遼寧省實驗中
學，探索中國東北省的歷史和文化。
東華三院群芳啟智學校與內地姊妹學校
交流計劃 ─ 廣州體育及壘球之旅
為加深香港與內地教育交流及學生在體育發展
上的互動，東華三院群芳啟智學校約20名師
生及家長於2017年6月8至10日到訪廣州，與
其姊妹學校─天河區啟慧學校進行交流，邀得
增城區沙埔中學師生進行壘球活動及訓練方法
交流，亦進行了一場友愛共融的壘球比賽。此
外，兩校學生亦一同前往黃埔軍校接受紀律訓
練，群芳啟智學校學生克服了語言障礙，發揮
自律、逆境自強及團體精神。
東華三院小學聯校弦樂團參與「2017
台灣弦樂夏令營」
東華三院小學聯校弦樂團由33位來自東華三
院鄧肇堅小學、黃士心小學及周演森小學的學
生所組成，於7月23至29日前往台灣宜蘭，參
加「2017台灣弦樂夏令營」。團員於夏令營
中積極參與弦樂講座和排練，並與近100名台
灣小學生一同參加弦樂大師的訓練班。團員更
參觀蘭嶼博物館和不同名勝，感受宜蘭的風土
人情。在夏令營的結業禮上，港、台兩地合共
90多位弦樂好手進行結業演出，同台獻藝和
交流，場面壯觀。
Participation in the “2017 Taiwan Summer String Orchestra Camp”
by TWGHs Joint Primary Schools String Orchestra
TWGHs Joint Primary Schools String Orchestra, composed of 33 students from
TWGHs Tang Shiu Kin Primary School, Wong See Sum Primary School and Chow
Yin Sum Primary School, took part in the “2017 Taiwan Summer String Orchestra
Camp” from 23 to 29 July 2017 at Yilan. During the Camp, students paticipated
in string orchestra seminars, music practices and master classes together with
nearly 100 Taiwanese primary students under the guidance of some Taiwanese
string professionals. Their understanding of Taiwanese history and culture was also
enhanced by visiting various museums, heritage and cultural spots in Yilan. As the
ending highlight of the Camp, a graduation performance of more than 90 players
from various string orchestras from Hong Kong and Taiwan schools was held and
brought a spectacular show to the audience.
Summer Service and Learning Programme in Rural China
TWGHs arranged 27 TWGHs secondary students and 3 TWGHs teachers to join an
anti-poverty visit to Xuanhua County, Hebei Province for the "Summer Service and
Learning Programme in Rural China" which was organised by Tsinghua University
and coordinated by Tseng Hin Pei Charity Fund. During the trip, the students
developed a stronger sense of national identity while giving a hand to poverty
alleviation.
A 6-day study tour to Liaoning Province
A 6-day study tour from 30 July to 4 August 2017 to Liaoning Province, led by
Ms. Maisy HO, Chairman 2015/2016, and Ms. Ginny MAN, Vice-Chairman cum
Chairman of the Education Committee, was organised for 30 TWGHs secondary
students to visit the sister school Liaoning Province Shiyan High School to explore
the history and culture of Northeast China.
TWGHs Kwan Fong Kai Chi School and Sister-school Exchange
Programme: Sports and Softball Tour to Guangzhou
To facilitate the exchange of information on both education and physical education
development between Hong Kong and the Mainland, as well as to enhance
the collaboration among the sister schools, TWGHs Kwan Fong Kai Chi School
organised the “Sports and Softball Tour to Guangzhou” for 20 teachers, students
and their parents from 8 to 10 June 2017. Sister school exchange activities and a
friendly softball match were conducted, with the participation of Qi Hui School at
Tianhe District and Shapu Middle School at Zengcheng District in Guangzhou. The
schools also participated in disciplinary training at the Republic of China Military
Academy (Huangpu Military Academy). TWGHs students overcame language
barriers and demonstrated self-discipline, self-resilience and team spirit.
