Building a Professional and Innovative Teaching Force

「遊戲學習」工作坊

為推廣教育局《幼稚園教育課程指引》下的

「遊戲學習」概念,東華三院特別於2017年10

月6日為250名屬下幼稚園教師提供相關培訓,

並邀請東華學院推廣「遊戲學習」的鄭佩華教

授主講。除了分享其國際兒童學習的研究成果

外,鄭教授亦分享開發兒童教育課程和相關教

學理論的經驗,特別是「遊戲學習」的心得。

第8屆兩岸四地可持續發展教育論壇

東華三院幼稚園參與於2017年11月11日假香

港教育大學舉辦的「第8屆兩岸四地可持續發

展教育論壇」,與來自兩岸四地的教育專家分

享本院屬下幼稚園推行的環保教育政策,並指

出家長是學童的學習典範,不可忽視家長參與

環保教育的重要性。

清華大學校董培訓課程

獲中央人民政府駐香港特別行政區聯絡辦公

室、中華人民共和國教育部及清華大學的支

持,東華三院於2017年12月16日至21日假清

華大學,為31位來自屬下中、小學的新任校

董舉辦校董培訓課程,內容涵蓋中國經濟發展

和一帶一路的方針,以加強他們在提供升學輔

導、實施德育課程及鞏固國民身份認同方面的

知識及經驗。

“Learning Through Play” Workshop

To promote the idea of “Learning Through Play”, an educational concept featured

in the new Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide of Education Bureau, a

training workshop was organised for 250 TWGHs kindergarten teachers on 6

October 2017. Prof. CHENG Pui Wah, Doris, an advocate of “Learning Through

Play”, from Early Childhood Education of the Tung Wah College was invited to

be the keynote speaker. She shared her findings and perspectives gained from

various international childhood research projects and also her valuable experience

on developing early childhood curriculum and pedagogy, especially on “Learning

Through Play.”

The 8th Forum on Cross Strait and 4 Places of Education for

Sustainable Development

TWGHs kindergartens participated in the “8th Forum on Cross Strait and Four

Places of Education for Sustainable Development” held at The Education University

of Hong Kong on 11 November 2017. Together with other education professionals

from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan and Macau, TWGHs delegates shared

the green education policies adopted by TWGHs kindergartens at the forum.

Highlighting the role of parents in being role models for their children, teacher

representatives stressed the importance of parents’ participation in promoting

environmental protection and green living.

School Manager Training Programme at Tsinghua University

With the support of Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the

HKSAR, Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and also Tsinghua

University, the TWGHs School Manager Training Programme was held in Tsinghua

University from 16 to 21 December 2017 for 31 newly appointed school managers

of TWGHs secondary and primary schools. The topics covered in the Programme

included economic development of China and the Belt and Road Initiative, so as

to enhance their knowledge and experience in providing career planning advice

to students, implementing moral education and instilling Chinese identity among

students.

東華三院教學獎勵先導計劃

為達致東華三院的教育願景及鼓勵教師團隊不

斷創新,董事局於今年設立「東華三院教學

獎勵先導計劃」,推動教師追求卓越,為學生

帶來更優質的學習環境。比賽開設中學組及小

學組,中學組的評審範疇是全人發展及價值教

育,而小學組的評審範疇則包括英文、STEM

及資訊科技教育。

計劃共有16間中學及13間小學參與,合共收

到34份計劃書,經評審委員會評核後,選出

兩間中學及3間小學為獲獎學校,並邀請其中

3間獲獎學校於2018年3月19日舉行的「聯校

專業發展日」分享其計劃的內容及特色。

TWGHs Teaching Award Pilot Scheme

To achieve TWGHs’ vision on education and encourage teachers to adopt innovative

pedagogies, “TWGHs Teaching Award Pilot Scheme” has been launched. It is

hoped that teachers would strive for teaching excellence and cultivate a high

quality learning environment for students. The scheme consisted of primary school

section and secondary school section. Assessment for secondary school section

covers all-round development and moral education while that for primary school

section covers English, STEM as well as IT education.

Out of the 34 proposals from 16 TWGHs secondary schools and 13 TWGHs primary

schools, the submissions from 3 primary schools and 2 secondary schools were

commended by the assessment panel. Three of the awardee schools were invited

to share their proposals on the “Joint School Professional Development Day” held

on 19 March 2018.

研修班學員拜會北京市教育委員會,會上雙方表述和交流北京和香港的教育發展。

Participants of the Tour visited the Beijing Municipal Education Commission (BMEC). TWGHs and

BMEC delegates exchanged their respective views on the recent education developments in Hong

Kong and Beijing.
