Student Achievements
蒙本院歷屆主席、總理、各界善長及屬校校友
慷慨捐款，本院設有多項獎學金、課外活動及
體育發展基金，以及助學慈善基金，以獎勵品
學兼優及力求進步的學生，並為清貧學生提供
經濟援助。
本院於2017年11月25日於東華醫院禮堂舉行
「東華三院傑出學生獎暨香港中學文憑考試優
異成績獎頒獎禮」，向多名傑出學生頒發獎學
金及獎狀，以表揚他們在學業、課外活動或義
務工作方面的卓越表現。本院在頒獎典禮當日
共嘉許83名學生。
學業表現
就2017年度的香港中學文憑考試，本院共有
1,906名考生，百分之七十點三考生考獲5科
(包括中、英文科）第二級成績（全港日校考
生的平均比率為百分之六十九點七），合資格
申請報讀「大學聯合招生辦法」本地大學副學
士學位課程；另有百分之四十一點六考生考獲
入讀「大學聯合招生辦法」本地大學學士學
位課程的資格，與全港日校考生的平均比率
相若。
本院辛亥年總理中學許炯倫同學在是次文憑試
中更取得5科5**及1科5*的驕人成績，獲得香港
大學取錄，入讀文學士（文學研究）及法學士
雙學士學位課程。
小學方面，本院屬下小學共有981名小六學生
參加香港中學學位分配，百分之九十三點四學
生獲派首三個志願中學。
With donations from the former and current Chairmen of the Board, Directors,
donors and alumni, the Group set up a number of scholarships, extra-curricular
activity and sports development funds and also student financial assistance grants
to award students with outstanding academic achievements, model behavior and
substantial improvement in their work. Besides, subsidies are provided to students
with financial needs.
The “Prize Presentation Ceremony for Student of the Year Award cum HKDSE
Outstanding Awards” was held on 25 November 2017 in the Assembly Hall of
Tung Wah Hospital to give recognition to outstanding students for their excellent
performance in academic achievement, extra-curricular activities and volunteer
work. A total of 83 TWGHs students were awarded at the Ceremony.
Academic Performance
There were 1,906 TWGHs secondary school students attended the Hong Kong
Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) held in 2017. 70.3% of
TWGHs students attained Level 2 in 5 subjects, including Chinese language and
English language, which met the requirements for the Joint University Programmes
Admission System (JUPAS) Sub-degree Programme, compared with an average of
69.7% for all Hong Kong students. At the same time, 41.6% of TWGHs students
attained the general entrance requirements for admission to the local Bachelor’s
Degree programmes under JUPAS, which was similar to the average ratio of all the
day-school candidates.
HUI Kwing Lun, a student from TWGHs Sun Hoi Directors’ College, achieved an
outstanding result of five 5** grades and one 5* grade. He was admitted into the
Bachelor of Arts in Literary Studies and Bachelor of Laws (double degree) of The
University of Hong Kong.
For primary schools, 93.4% of 981 TWGHs Primary 6 students joining
the Secondary School Places Allocation were allocated one of their first 3 choices
of schools.
東華三院聯校專業發展日
東華三院聯校專業發展日於2018年3月19日在
伊利沙伯體育館舉行，邀得教育局副局長蔡若
蓮博士太平紳士主禮。學務委員會主任委員文
頴怡副主席於活動中就屬下學校的教師專業發
展概況作詳盡的報告，同時邀得香港教育大學
數學與資訊科技學系科技教育課程顧問盧騰蛟
博士，以及香港教育大學宗教教育與心靈教
育中心項目經理江浩民博士為嘉賓，以「優
質教育經驗」為題與屬校老師分享教學心得。
同日，本院亦頒發「東華三院教學獎勵先導計
劃」的獎項，以表揚表現優異的教學團隊。
董事局年度宴請屬校校長及副校長以
茲嘉許
東華三院董事局於2018年2月2日在九龍帝京
酒店，宴請屬下中學、小學、幼稚園及特殊學
校共49間學校的校長及副校長，以感謝及表
揚他們為本院屬校盡心盡力，實踐有教無類、
作育英才的教學使命，讓每間學校都有出色的
表現。
TWGHs Joint School Professional Development Day
TWGHs Joint School Professional Development Day was held on 19 March 2018 in
Queen Elizabeth Stadium, with Dr. CHOI Yuk Lin, JP, Under Secretary for Education
officiating. Ms. Ginny MAN, Vice-Chairman cum Chairman of the Education
Committee, gave a progress report on teachers’ professional development in TWGHs
schools. Dr. LO Ting Kau, Professional Consultant, Department of Mathematics and
Information Technology, The Education University of Hong Kong, and Dr. KONG Ho
Man, Raymond, Project Manager, Centre for Religious and Spirituality Education,
The Education University of Hong Kong, shared their insights on the theme of
“Quality Teaching Experience”. Award Presentation of “Pilot Scheme of TWGHs
Teaching Award” was held on the same day to recognise the accomplishment of
outstanding teaching teams of the Group.
Yearly Dinner Reception in Appreciation of Contribution by
TWGHs School Heads and Deputy School Heads
TWGHs Board of Directors held a dinner reception for TWGHs School Heads and
Deputy School Heads on 2 February 2018 in Royal Plaza Hotel, Kowloon. School
heads and deputy school heads from 49 TWGHs schools, including secondary
schools, primary schools, kindergartens and special schools, were invited to
recognise their dedication in realising the mission of “Education for All” of TWGHs.
