英語面試工作坊
為提升英語水平及加強面試技巧，東華三院邱
金元中學在2017年6月24日至7月29日期間，
連續5個星期六早上為68名來自本院屬下16間
中學的中五學生提供英語面試工作坊。工作
坊由一班經驗豐富的行政人員、專業人士及
退休政府高級官員義務主講。工作坊的第一
部分是由參與機構（包括恒生銀行、香港電
燈有限公司、強制性公積金計劃管理局和怡和
餐飲集團）所提供的模擬面試訓練，而第二部
分是連續3個星期六舉行的小組討論工作坊，
邀得學務委員會主任委員文頴怡副主席作評判
之一。
English Interview Workshop
With a view to improving students’ English proficiency and their job interview
skills, the English Interview Workshop was organised by TWGHs Yow Kam Yuen
College for 68 secondary 5 students from 16 TWGHs secondary schools for 5
consecutive Saturday mornings from 24 June to 29 July 2017. The Workshop was
supported by experienced senior business executives, professionals and retired
senior government officials. The first part of the Workshop was a mock interview at
one of the participating corporations, namely Hang Seng Bank, Hong Kong Electric

清華大學入學簡介會
東華三院學務委員會、18間屬下中學校長及
升學輔導老師分別於2017年5月和10月參與
由清華大學和曾憲備慈善基金代表安排的會
面，除商討清華大學2018/2019學年的入學詳
情外，亦進一步了解大學的教學方針和設施配
套，會面還包括兩名清華大學校友分享校園生
活點滴。會面後，本院安排62位來自5間屬校
的學生及其家長和升學輔導老師出席於2017
年10月30日及31日舉辦的清華大學入學簡介
會，讓他們取得詳盡的入學資訊。
Briefing Session on Tsinghua University Admission
TWGHs Education Committee, principals and career teachers from 18 secondary
schools attended briefing sessions co-organised by representatives from Tsinghua
University and Tseng Hin Pei Charity Fund in May and October 2017 respectively.
Other than discussion on Tsinghua University’s admission scheme for the academic
year 2018/2019, some of the significant initiatives and infrastructures of the
University were introduced and 2 alumni from the University shared their stories
of university life. After the above sessions, TWGHs arranged 62 students and
their parents and career teachers from 5 TWGHs secondary schools to attend the
admission seminar of Tsinghua University held on 30 and 31 October 2017 so as to
obtain more admission information.
多倫多大學入學及獎學金簡介會
東華三院與多倫多大學亞太區辦公室於2017
年5月26日在東華三院黃笏南中學舉辦多倫多
大學入學及獎學金簡介會，為超過100名學生
及其家長、老師及校長講解入讀世界一級學府
的優越性、多變性及多元化的學習機會，同時
介紹該學府為有經濟困難的學生而設的獎學金
計劃。
上海交通大學訪問東華三院
上海交通大學黨委統戰部部長張衞剛先生率領
代表團於2017年10月13日到訪東華三院。訪
問團除了參觀東華三院黃笏南中學及東華三院
呂潤財紀念中學的校舍及設施以外，更與本院
的校長和師生進行交流會面，讓師生更了解上
海交通大學的發展與特色，同時學生可藉著這
個機會探索將來的升學機會，規劃自己的發展
藍圖，實現理想和抱負。
Briefing Session on University of Toronto Admission and
Scholarships
On 26 May 2017, a briefing session on the admission and scholarship schemes of
the University of Toronto was jointly organised with the Asia-Pacific Advancement
Office of the University of Toronto in the auditorium of TWGHs Wong Fut Nam
College. The occasion provided an invaluable opportunity for more than 100
students, parents, teachers and principals to learn about the distinct, flexible and
diverse learning opportunities in a top-ranked university in the world as well as its
scholarship schemes that aid students who have limited financial resources.
Visit by Delegation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University
A delegation of Shanghai Jiao Tong University led by Mr. ZHANG Weigang of the
United Front Department of the University visited TWGHs on 13 October 2017.
Besides visiting the campuses and facilities of TWGHs Wong Fut Nam College
and TWGHs Lui Yun Choy Memorial College, the Delegation gave a talk on the
development and features of Shanghai Jiao Tong University for TWGHs students to
understand more about the University and inspire them to review their aspirations
on further studies and career development.
