Commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Birthday of Dr. SUN Yat Sen : Grand Lectures
In commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the birthday of Dr. SUN Yat Sen, TWGHs organized a series of educational events with Greater China Ltd. to offer students greater insight into Dr. Sun’s contributions in the history of China.
On 30 April and 7 May 2016 respectively, 2 lectures about Dr. Sun were held. An opening ceremony was performed by Mrs. Katherine MA, the Chairman cum Honorary Supervisor, and Mrs. KONG WU Po Lam, Pauline, Chairperson of Greater China Ltd. and former TWGHs Director. The first lecture was about the life story of Dr. SUN Yat Sen, conducted by Mr. WONG Ho Chiu, former Senior Curriculum
Development Officer of Education Bureau, and Mr. Peter B SUN, the great-grandnephew of Dr. SUN Yat Sen, at TWGHs Yow Kam Yuen College. The second lecture, themed “The Constructive Scheme of China of Dr. SUN Yat Sen”, was conducted by Dr. LAU Chi Pang, Associate Professor of the Department of History of Lingnan University, at TWGHs Chang Ming Thien College.
