成為提供持續照顧護理的安老院
東華三院呂氏（兄弟）安老院獲獎券基金撥款
進行改裝工程的前期工作，已於2017年初聘
請則師設計圖則及估算成本，將安老院改裝為
提供持續照顧護理服務的安老院，以回應體弱
長者對院舍照顧服務的需求。
Making Most of Available Resources to Increase Service
Capacity and Variety
In response to the acute demand for residential places and care services among elders
and the disabled in the community, the Community
Services Division of the Group has been proactively
exploring the possibility of redeveloping TWGHs Pao
Siu Loong Care and Attention Home and TWGHs
Jockey Club Care and Attention Home to provide more
residential places with a greater variety of services.
At the same time, TWGHs is exploring the possibility
of building an innovative small-scale home for the
dementia in TWGHs Shuen Wan Complex for the
Elderly. Moreover, the TWGHs Jockey Club Blissful Day
Care Centre located in the Jockey Club Blissful Villa
commenced services in early 2017 to provide a wide
spectrum of care service to the elderly in the district.
Proposed Conversion of TWGHs Lui’s Brothers Home for the Elderly
into a Care and Attention Home Providing Continuum of Care
With funding from the Lotteries Fund, TWGHs appointed a consultant in early 2017
to work on layout design and cost estimation as part of its plans to convert TWGHs
Lui's Brother Home for the Elderly into a care and attention home for providing
continuum care service to meet the needs of frail elders.

年輕長者才能拓展計劃 -
華菁幻想四重奏
董事局撥款支持本院屬下10間長者中心在
2016年推行為期兩年的「年輕長者才能拓展
計劃」，以支持年輕長者展現其潛能、風采和人
生智慧。2017年12月15日，計劃的壓軸表演於
香港理工大學賽馬會綜藝館舉行，邀得社會福
利署總社會工作主任胡美卿女士及東華三院
副主席暨社會服務委員會主席譚鎮國先生擔
任主禮嘉賓。當日，超過100名年輕長者以舞
蹈、歌唱、音樂等表演，為逾700名觀眾帶
來一個愉快的下午。
東華三院E大調合奏團成立音樂會
「東華三院E大調合奏團」是全港首個
長者管弦西樂團，由近40名年滿50
歲或以上的長者組成。合奏團於2017
年9月3日假香港演藝學院音樂廳舉行
「E大調合奏團成立音樂會」首演，邀
得康樂及文化事務署副署長（文化）
吳志華博士擔任主禮嘉賓。樂團演
繹了多首古今中外經典樂曲，更與王
仁曼芭蕾舞學校、葉氏兒童合唱團以
及女高音鮑鳳媺女士合作演出。
You’ve got Talent: YO2gether Variety Show
Funded by the Board of Directors, a 2-year programme “You’ve got Talent”
was launched in 2016 in 10 TWGHs elderly centres, helping the young old to
showcase their hidden talents, personalities and wisdom. A finale variety show
was held at the Jockey Club Auditorium, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
on 15 December 2017 with Ms. Patricia Woo, Chief Social Work Officer of Social
Welfare Department and Mr. TAM Chun Kwok, Vice-Chairman cum Chairman of
the Community Services Committee, as officiating guests. Over 100 elders put
up dancing, singing and musical performances, delighting an audience of more
than 700 people.
TWGHs E Major Ensemble Debut Concert
The “TWGHs E Major Ensemble” is Hong Kong’s first orchestra formed by
the elderly, comprising nearly 40 players aged 50 or above. The Ensemble
made its debut on 3 September 2017 at
the Hong Kong Academy for Performing
Arts Concert Hall with an “E Major
Ensemble Debut Concert”, officiated by
Dr. NG Chi Wa, Louis, Deputy Director
(Culture) of the Leisure and Cultural
Services Department. The Ensemble
performed pieces of classical and modern
music and gigged with Jean M. Wong
School of Ballet, Yip’s Children’s Choir,
and soprano singer Ms. Shirley PAU.
