for their later life and acquire a deeper understanding of funeral services, the 2

Disabilities and Elderly

TWGHs has joined hands with the Department of Social Work and Social

Administration, The University of Hong Kong, to launch the “Reweaving Grief”

Project, an innovative approach to bereavement care, with Dr. Amy CHOW,

Associate Professor of the Department of Social Work and Social Administration,

its kind to be introduced into Chinese society where people with disabilities have

been invited to take part in the characteristic reweaving process. On 3 June 2017,

a seminar was held at the Rayson Wang Hall of The University of Hong Kong to

promote the Project. An exhibition was also staged at i-dArtory in Wing Cheung

Mansion, Wanchai, between 7 June and the end of July 2017, to showcase the

products and the reweaving stories, in the hope of bringing new perspective

to the community on the notion of death as well as innovative ways to go

through bereavement.
