Over the Sea; Over the Garden - Green Funeral Experience Tour
TWGHs International Funeral Parlour and TWGHs Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour
launched Hong Kong’s first-ever “Over the Sea; Over the Garden - Green Funeral
Experience Tour” on 29 October 2017. Members of the “Plan Ahead Funeral
Arrangement” Scheme and other participants were ferried to a designated area
for scattering ashes. With the presentation and guidance of the staff, participants
managed to experience the process of eco-friendly sea burial, with a deeper
understanding
of
this
alternative to traditional
burials and of the importance
of planning ahead for
later life. More than 160
participants joined the tour.
The 2 funeral parlours will
keep on taking the initiative to
promote green funeral
service and life and death
education to cultivate a deeper
understanding among the
general public of the funeral
service industry and the
diversity of funeral services.
Re-opening of
Kwong Fook Tsz and
Shing Wong Temple
TWGHs renovated Kwong Fook
Tsz in Sheung Wan and Shing
Wong Temple in Yaumatei,
which re-opening ceremonies
were held on 7 February and 12
February 2018 respectively. The
structural conservation restored
the solemnity of these ancient
temples and allowed members
of the public to better appreciate
the wisdom of our ancestors.
The 100th Anniversary of the Race Course Fire Memorial Activity
In commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the tragic Race Course Fire, TWGHs
held a commemorative activity at the Race Course Fire Memorial on 26 February
2018 for the general public to understand the most disastrous fire in Hong Kong,
and to send deepest condolences to the victims of the accident.

綠色殯葬體驗之旅
東華三院萬國殯儀館及東華三院鑽石山殯儀館
於2017年10月29日首次舉辦「綠色殯葬體驗之
旅」，帶領一眾善壽會員及其他參加人士乘坐
環保葬禮船隻前往東龍洲以東的指定撒灰海域，
由職員詳細講解及讓參加者親身體驗綠色葬禮
的過程，從而了解新式殯葬的儀式，思考生前規
劃的重要性，並解答他們對環保殯葬的疑問。是
次體驗之旅的參加人數超過160人。東華三院萬
國殯儀館及東華三院鑽石山殯儀館會繼續致力
舉辦不同類型有關綠色殯葬及生死教育社區推
廣活動，讓大眾深入了解殯儀行業及多樣化的
殯儀服務。
廣福祠及油麻地城隍廟重修開幕
東華三院於年內為上環的廣福祠和油麻地的
城隍廟進行重修，並分別於2018年2月7日及
2018年2月12日舉行重修開幕典禮，透過保育
廟宇結構，回復廟宇莊嚴，讓市民細味古人的
生活智慧。
馬場大火百周年紀念活動
為悼念跑馬地馬場大火100周年忌日，東華三
院於2018年2月26日假馬場先難友紀念碑舉
行公眾紀念活動，讓市民一同了解及認識香港
史上最嚴重的火災事件，並向事件中罹難的先
友致祭。
參加者親身體驗花園葬禮，將「模擬骨灰」撒放於特別製
作的花園槽上。
