Location: Sheung Wan
Roles & responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner and collaborate with the senior executive team to develop TWGHs policies and procedures for fulfilling the organizational mission and corporate objectives in education services provision;
- formulate and monitor the implementation of school management policies and quality assurance mechanism through seeking consultation from local authorities and Incorporated Management Committee (IMC) of schools to ensure the achievement of the operational goals for education;
- develop and implement new educational policies and systems as well as curriculum and programme initiatives to ensure new education needs can be met by the Group’s education services;
- develop collaboration network with local and Mainland authorities, education institutions, professional bodies, etc. to enhance programme development and school development;
- evaluate and provide recommendation to the top management on new educational initiatives launched by the government or new school projects to align with current social environment and needs;
- lead TWGHs schools to provide quality education services, monitor the effectiveness of the operation of the IMCs and schools;
- manage the manpower, finance of various units of head office and schools to optimize the resources; and
- promote a positive image of TWGHs schools; identify and assess risk areas, prevent school crises and strategically assist schools in managing critical incidents.
The ideal candidate should have/be:
- a Master degree in Education or equivalent;
- minimum 15 years of experience in the education field, including substantial teaching experience in government or aided schools and senior level management;
- proven successful track record at senior management level in education administration with emphasis on planning and development;
- well-versed with the Education Ordinance, the School Education system, the Codes of Aid and the regulations pertaining to the management of schools is required;
- strong managerial, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills;
- possessed a clear vision and mission for a strategic development of the education services in the Group;
- excellent leadership skills to lead and supervise the heads of schools; and to work effectively with the senior staff team;
- good networking with the Education Bureau, local Chinese authorities, working courterparts in China, local and overseas universities/educational institutes and education experts;
- innovative and dynamic in visioning development possibilities of the education services of the Group in Hong Kong and China; and
- high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Compensation & employment terms:
The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience. The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
