醫務化驗師

Location: Yau Ma Tei
Roles & responsibilities:
- Handle specimens for all kinds of histology and cytology tests and maintain smooth running of the laboratory services;
- perform quality control of histology and cytology slides, including digital images from scanned glass slides;
- complete scheduled laboratory audits to meet the requirements for relevant laboratory accreditation;
- provide training in relation to digital pathology to laboratory workers of the hospital; and
- perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
The ideal candidate should have/be:
- A Certificate of Registration (Part I) and a valid Practicing Certificate issued by the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board, Hong Kong;
- at least 5 years’ experience in medical laboratory services;
- preferably a Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent;
- preferably a registered member of the International Academy of Cytology; and
- preferably experience with digital slide scanners or AI software programs.

Compensation & employment terms:
The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $57,580 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 25). Entry salary and monthly allowance depend on years of recognized experience. The salary and allowance are subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review. The fringe benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. A 15% contract discretionary payment (to be offset by the total amount of contributions made by Tung Wah under the Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme) will be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract period.
