Location: Sheung Wan
Roles & responsibilities:
- Monitor and perform maintenance of general ledger, payment functions and other finance related activities;
- prepare annual financial budgetary plans and cash flow forecast;
- review and propose necessary enhancement of accounting systems;
- review financial statements and returns to ensure accuracy and in compliance with established financial policies, guidelines and accounting standards and report requirements of various subvention or funding bodies;
- supervise subordinates in carrying out day-to-day operations;
- provide advice, training and guidance to subordinates and staff of service centres; and
- work closely with supervisors to revise/review/develop the daily workflow and accounting and related systems and policies.
The ideal candidate should have/be:
- (a) Associate Degree/Higher Diploma/Professional Diploma in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Quantitative Studies/Business Administration or related subjects with 10 years of accounting/auditing experience at supervisory level and one of the following qualifications is required:
(1) completed any 2 Qualification Programme modules of HKICPA or equivalent; or
(2) completed all 9 fundamentals level papers of ACCA or equivalent; or
(b) a recognized degree in any disciplines with 5 years of accounting/auditing experience at supervisory level; or
(c) qualified Accountant in HK/UK/US/Canada/Australia with 1 year post-qualification accounting/auditing experience; - preferably auditing experience;
- hands on personal computer skills and experience in computerized accounting or other systems;
- able to handle full sets of books and accounts independently; and
- good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills for small team.

Compensation & employment terms:
The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience. The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
